And God Said....And God Saw

Throughout the book of Genesis, Chapter 1, verses 2-29, we learnt that God our Father, the Creator, always declares the things that do not exist BEFORE they exist. The two famous lines throughout the first chapter of Genesis are    "And God said", "And God saw"

Until you DECLARE a thing, it cannot begin to take on life and therefore you cannot POSSESS it, because what you did not give life to simply cannot come into being. Your declaration is a way of actually breathing life and starting the pregnancy of a new life which brings about the birth of that new life.  Notice that God's confession of his expectation always comes before the actual possession or creation of that thing, and since you came from him, as he made you in his image and in his likeness, then it goes without saying that before you experience the physical manifestation of any desire, you must confess or declare it. I know you've all heard this before and so I'm not going to tell you what you already know, but  what I want to talk about today is

why and how this confession business must be if we are to experience any dominion that God gave us from the beginning. There's a saying that "if the use of a thing is not known, then abuse is inevitable" (Dr. Myles Munroe). We must understand  that when God made all things, he made them with a purpose in mind. Every part of your body has a dual function to perform. Spiritual function and physical function.

The scripture says "Life and death are in the power of the tongue." What does this mean and how does it affect us? Firstly we have to realize that the words of our mouth are seeds, whether positive or negative, bible calls it life or death. Funny enough, we were instructed to "pray without ceasing", in other words to keep communicating with God continously and when you communicate with God, you declare what you desire and NOT what you do not desire. (You might want to read this article also: What? God Did Not Answer? What Did You Tell Him!!!)

If you believe that every word that proceed from the mouth of God becomes a law, then you will know that there's a spiritual law that says that every spoken word will be accounted for and that means what you say will prepare for you, that which you have declared, both in this world and the world to come. As said before, words are like seeds, once you drop them, they begin to germinate immediately and with the law of seedtime and harvest, it is then just a matter of time before you see the seed you have sown sprout into a giant tree.

You must understand that God, who made the law, has not excused himself from that law. God said in Isaiah 42:9b. "...And new things I DECLARE; BEFORE they spring forth I tell you of them."  and in Isaiah 55:11a "So shall my words that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me void...." He understands the implications or rather the consequences of the spoken word, and he's holding us to the same standard since we are made in his image and likeness.

God's laws are of mathematical precision. They are EXACT.

Your belief or disbelief in them does not stop their operations in your life. You must realize that you are a god in this world. Notice I did not say god of this world, but a god in this world. A son of an animal is an animal regardless of what name it goes by, so a son of GOD is a god and gods declare things before they come to pass. That's what shows your power of dominion over situations and circumstances. When a king decrees, everyone and everything comes to attention to carry out the word of the king since his words carry power and so are you in the sight of God, and that's why he made the decision to give you DOMINION over all things from the beginning; but you can only exercise that dominion through the power of your words.

Why must we do this? God made his universe to maintain everything and everyone. The universe must maintain your status and it does that by honoring the things that you declare, good or bad, it does not judge. Its main job is to make sure that when you say something, it does not return to you void, but comes back in a physical form and manifest in your life. We are told in the book of Jobs 22:28 that "You will also declare a thing and it will be established for you..."

Now, the key now is to pay attention to the things we say. When it comes to the things we say, there's a "secret"  you must know today and it is found in the book of Proverbs 4:23 that says "Guard your HEART with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life" In other words, all the words that come out of your mouth originate from all the thoughts in your heart. Even Jesus advised us when he said that "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."

All that you speak will come to pass in your life, whether you like it or not, the key is to deliberately monitor what's in your heart so your mouth can declare good words and thereby allowing the universe to bring about the manifestations of those things that you desire and have declared.

Since your mouth can only confess what's in your heart. Then the question becomes what's REALLY in your heart? When you manage the thoughts in your heart and SAY the good ones, then like God, you'll SEE the good of the land manifested in your life. I will suggest the followings to help put this into practical application. Before you speak what's in your heart,

1. Be still and give thought to what's going on in your heart and check your emotions.

2. Be attentive to situations. Do NOT react to them suddenly, but take time and respond to them. That way,
what you'll say will be different than what you would have said if you suddenly react to the situation.

3. Do not be anxious about anything at all so that your statement will not be clouded by your emotions. Be
calm and know that God is always in control and then declare the power of God as oppose to the power
    of the problem.

4. Be bold as a lion in approaching God to give you wisdom and solutions and you declare those only.

5. Be confident that God has answered and that if you declare his response, the universe has no choice
but to obey your declaration because it comes from God.

6. Then believe with all of your heart that what you have declared, you have RECEIVED.

7. Finally, be grateful and declare words of gratitude as this will help germinate the words you have planted
   through declaration.

  2. @Rosalinda:

Wow. What a person needs will always find them. You read the post at about the same time you were listening to the CD. You are calling those things out and the universe has no choice but to obey. To God be the glory. Thanks, you are always appreciated.

  4. At times we are complaining to God about our problem, we are talking about the problem and not the solution. It is so easy to mistake that for declaration. Then we wonder why nothing is working for us.

Quit talking about the problem, declare the solution and watch it come to pass.

  6. Dear Anonymous:

It's a great privilege and I count it as an honor to have you here. Your comment is greatly appreciated. You are right. Whatever we desire, that's what God had instructed us to say, not what we see. We see a lot of things that are undesirable, but that does not mean we give life to them by voicing them out. Remember, "And thou shall decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee..." Job 22;28
Have a very merry Christmas and a wonder-full New year.
