Capacity For Truth - Do you have it?

Hello my dear family, friends, fellow bloggers, readers and well-wishers. I have been away for a while, but glad to be back to the blogging world. I miss you guys and all the great comments I received on my previous posts. Thank you for been committed readers of my blogs. Love you all.

Now to the business at hand, as usual :-)

It's about 3:42 AM CST now in my neck of the woods in Texas. I've been up for about an hour or so now. I couldn't sleep because this thought won't let me..... "The Capacity For Truth", and when something is very persistent in my spirit, I have learnt that it is not meant for me...ALONE. So I have learnt to let go of whatever I'm doing and get the word out. Please realize this....

God and his message precedes and supersedes every other thing. Even my sleep :-) PERIOD.

Please, also realize this. I am not a preacher of any kind. Simply a child of God who loves to share God's love and heart with all humans.

Having said that, let me share with you those thoughts about having a capacity for truth. Most of us, if not all desire, in our lives, to achieve success in one area or the other, but something keeps happening that holds us back and we resort to prayer. Either prayer to receive guidance through wisdom and understanding in order to break that barrier that keeps holding us back or prayer for strength to be able to break the same; but what I have found out is that the problem of having breakthrough to success is not that God or the devil for that matter has anything to do with our desires, the problem is not that God is not answering our prayers, the invisible culprit is in us - It is

THE ABSENCE OF THE CAPACITY TO ACCEPT, PROCESS, UTILIZE AND HANDLE THE TRUTH

Look within yourself, the way you deal with the Spirit of God and the channels HE uses to communicate with you; your mentors, associates, colleagues, friends and families, especially family members that have your best interest at heart. When someone tells you the absolute, unbiased truth about yourself, your immediate innate reaction is NO, that's not true, then you come up with all kinds of excuses to reject that truth. "You don't know what I'm going through", "You just don't understand", "God is not answering my prayers", it's very difficult, I can't do this, I can't do that, I don't have the resources, I don't, I don't... blah, blah, blah, etc.

Jesus said "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free" When the Spirit of God in us bears witness with our spirit and gives us guidance, the first thing we do is rebuke the Spirit saying that it is not of God. Why do we do that? Firstly, don't kid yourself, Most of us recognize the Master's voice, there's no doubt about that, you know HE won't force you to do anything, but the fact of the matter is that you find what he's telling you to do as tough, rough, against your flesh and not what you expect God to say or do, (in your own view) and so your thinking faculty immediately rejects that.

Now, here's a funny thing about God, He never gives you what you want, He gives you what you NEED in order to get what you want or desire, but most of us, if not all, delusionally, want God to give us what we want.

Now what you need will appear completely opposite to what you want or desire. It is mostly inconvenient, irritating and sometimes unbearable, but God's way of doing things cannot and will not change for anyone. It did not change for His Son. Ask Jesus yourself. HE asked the Father to let the cup of crucifixion pass over HIM and guess what?  God did not do that, but only gave HIM the strength HE needs to bear the cross in order to conquer death and becomes the Lord of all. Ask any wise person who had succeeded on any level, they will tell you God only gives you what you need. It is this unbearable and inconvenient NEED that helps you climb the mountain, break down the walls, demolish any kind of barrier and manifest your desire.

It is this needful thing that propels you and gives you the strength and character to manifest your desire or want.

Look at it from another angle. Your true mentor and true family and friends never give you what you want, but they give you what you need in order for you to get what you want. They don't do things for you, but they show you how things must be done to get what you want or desire. When you ask God for patience, HE gives you people that will try you in all kinds of ways, thereby exercising and developing that patience you asked for. When you asked God for unconditional love, HE gives you people that will step on the love you offer, yet, you asked for uncondtional love....hmmmm. Why does God do that? because he knows that what you need is what will provide the strength for you to achieve what you want or desire. The desires of your heart can be easily fulfilled if you train yourself through humility to accept the truth that God is sending your way.

You must realize though that God cannot be confined in a box. He chooses and uses the  foolish things of the world to confound the so-called wise. Sometimes, the Spirit of God will actually speak to you through other channels and not directly to your spirit. This is where discernment and the capacity to handle truth join forces to help you.

Sometimes, I think we are too wise for our own good.

Now why is it difficult for us to accept the truth or better yet what exactly is the "capacity for truth." Well, the answer may surprise you. It is not what most people expect. Now mind you all these I have not written of my own volition, I write as I am inspired and directed by the Spirit of God. I know nothing except that which HE reveals to me and I am learning with you even as I am writing this as it also applies to me.

There is one major thing, with different faces, that prevent us from utilizing our capacity to truly handle the truth and there's one major thing that is needed to actually conquer that which prevents us. I will go in-depth on these in the next post. Let us all digest this first and ask questions and we will let God guide us into HIS own truth.
